Luxe Grooming Pet Spa Policies

Policies

•Luxe Grooming Pet Spa is a full-service grooming salon dedicated to a safe & compassionate approach. I want your pet(s) to have an enjoyable experience. Special attention is given to older pets & those with special needs. I will not perform procedures that cause pain or stress I feel is excessive.

•You, the owner, shall advise Luxe Grooming Pet Spa of any medical, physical, emotional, allergy, sensitivity, or pre-existing conditions. These may include prior surgeries, hip/joint issues, warts, moles, ear infections, skin problems, & etc.

Leashes & Exchanges

•The safety of your pet is my top priority. For this reason, all pets must enter and exit the salon on a leash. If you do not have a leash, please call or text, and I will gladly assist you from your vehicle. Cats are not expected to be on a leash and should be brought inside in a hard plastic carrier or soft style carrier.

Fleas

•Please let me know if your pet has any signs of fleas. I request treatment before you arrive. For the safety and comfort of all pets, I ask that your pet arrive flea-free. If fleas are found during grooming, I will use a special flea shampoo to treat your pet.

•Please note, this will incur a $50 additional charge. Further treatment is recommended throughout your home, yard, and any other pets you may have.

Pet History

•You are obliged to share with us if your pet has ever bitten a groomer, other people, or other animals.

•I may need to use a soft muzzle on your pet for safety purposes. If your pet is too aggressive to manage safely, I reserve the right to refuse service.

•For cats, sometimes scruffing is needed to safely perform the groom.

Appointments & Rescheduling

•Please arrive on time. I cannot accept appointments that are more than 15 minutes late.

•If you are more than 15 minutes late, I may need to reschedule your pet(s) for an alternate day or time.

•I send out reminders when you book an appointment. If you need to cancel or reschedule, I require a 48-hour notice to avoid cancellation fees.

•If you cancel on the day of the appointment, or no-call, no-show, this will result in a 100% service cost fee. Fees are non-refundable.

•If you cancel with less than a 48-hour notice, this will result in a 50% service cost fee. Fees are non-refundable.

•Pre-payment may be requested if a client is late for two or more previous appointments.

•When booking a new appointment, you must pay the full cost of a previously missed appointment.

Client Satisfaction & Follow Ups

•It is my goal to exceed your expectations. If you are unsatisfied with your pet’s groom, please reach out within 72 hours so we can offer further assistance. It may not be something I can fix right away, but I would love to know how I can improve client satisfaction.

•Luxe Grooming Pet Spa offers touch-ups up to 72 hours after your appointment. If the appointment was over 72 hours ago, I may provide you with other options.

•If you suspect your pet has reacted to any part of the groom, please let me know as soon as possible.

Pricing

•Pricing varies for each pet and is determined by the time involved & condition of the coat. My services include “starting at prices” to give you a ballpark.

•Your pet’s temperament & behavior may also determine the grooming price.

Payment

•Payment for services rendered is due at the time of pickup. Luxe Grooming Pet Spa accepts Card, Cash, Apple Pay, and Check as payment methods.

Pick up

• To provide exceptional one-on-one care, Luxe Grooming Pet Spa does not provide daycare services.

•I will notify you with a phone call or text about 15 minutes before the appointment is over.

•I kindly ask that your pet be picked up within 30 minutes of notification or will charge you $25 per additional 15 minutes at the salon.

Feline Grooming

•Please note that the quoted prices assume your cat's coat has minimal to no clumps, knots, or tangles.

•If your cat is matted, additional fees will be quoted during the check-in process. These fees are determined by the time required to safely remove the mats. For a more accurate price estimate, I will evaluate your cat’s coat condition upon arrival.

•In the best interest of your cat, those with certain medical or stress-related conditions may be referred to a veterinarian for a sedated groom or monitoring.

Matting & Risks Involved

•If your pet cannot be humanely dematted, I will consult with you about getting a “coat restoration” shave down and starting fresh.

•I charge an additional $75 per hour for pets with matted coats.

•Mats not only make the coat look disheveled, but they also add to a dog’s distress and cause skin irritation. When this happens, the dog bites at its skin or tries to scratch, causing the mat to grow in size and the hair to get even more tangled.

•Removing a heavily matted coat includes risks of nicks, hematomas, cuts, or abrasions due to warts, moles, and skin folds trapped and hidden in the mats.

•Heavy matting can also trap moisture near the pet’s skin, allowing fungus or bacteria to grow, causing skin irritations that exist before the grooming process. We are not responsible for any pre-existing conditions revealed after shaving a matted coat.

Liability

•I will not be liable for any pet that may become ill or injured while under my care. In the unlikely event of a medical emergency, Luxe Grooming Pet Spa may administer CPR or other first aid on my pet(s) as temporary care only, and professional veterinary care should be sought immediately. I understand that CPR and other first aid administered by Luxe Grooming Pet Spa do not guarantee saving the life of my pet(s).

•In the event of an emergency, DeAnna Smith at Luxe Grooming Pet Spa may not be able to immediately contact me and is therefore authorized to initiate appropriate treatment of my pet(s) until I am available to discuss further care and costs with the attending veterinarian.
